Review # 2 was written on 2015-01-02 00:00:00 Mario Ramari I got this book from the library because I had taken a picture of a unique looking flower last summer in my black raspberry patch. I wanted to find out what it was that I had photographed. The pictures in this book are fabulous. I was even able to put a name on the tiny flowers my daughter had picked the other day (chickweed). The flower that I found was actually just a milkweed, and we usually just chop them down before they are able to flower, they are so pretty I am not sure that I will be weeding them out afterall. :) The book itself is very informative, there are the great pictures, and then goes on to tell you where you will be finding the flowers and then how they came to be in ohio. I didn't realize the yuccas are a 'wild' flower. This would be a handy tool if you wanted to take your kids out on a nature walk and have them identify what they find. |
