Review # 1 was written on 2013-05-31 00:00:00 Melissa Mcdonald concentrates on Dickens' relationship to political radicalism, esp. his embeddeness in melodramatic traditions and cheap journalism. read first 3 ch's and ch 6. may need to return to ch. 5. |
Review # 2 was written on 2015-02-24 00:00:00 Roberto Belan Like most academic texts, I am loathe to even spend much time on them. I am almost certain that this is a wonderful book, with much thought-provoking content and astounding insights, could I remember even reading it properly, but Romanticism isn't something I'm all that interested in and thoroughly rejected it as a point against the authority of my University, because I'm a left-wing idiot sometimes. |
