Review # 1 was written on 2017-01-24 00:00:00 Danny Thrasher This is an enlightening critical book on a topic typically avoided within the field of feminist criticism. I only occasionally took issue with the content of this book. However, I was disappointed in her discussions of Radcliffe with how little she engaged the actual text and opted for generalizations. It's as if she left her topic open for others to write specific criticism. I also thought her titles in the second section were a bit of a stretch in trying to achieve parallelism. Often, the title of her essay takes up only a fraction of her discussion in the chapter. |
Review # 2 was written on 2015-07-30 00:00:00 Larry Plemons Jr. Really interesting read, only giving four stars as it's written in the 80s and my PhD reasearch start date is from 1996. Have had some beneficial things to takeaway though ! |
