Review # 1 was written on 2016-12-20 00:00:00 Betty J Harris This collection of essays did point out many features of Morrison's novel that I noticed while reading. The first four essays were clearly articulated, but the final easy seemed to contradict portions of the others. A good balance to the article selections.

Review # 2 was written on 2015-01-22 00:00:00 Richard Mac Dowell The author has taken a compelling, important theme and hidden it behind heavy academic-speak and meaningless catchphrases. While the book was too frustrating to finish, the many works mentioned give good ideas for further reading.
