Review # 1 was written on 2018-05-24 00:00:00 Virly Francois I got this book in Costa Rica during a mission trip. I was curious about a baby coati that was rescued by some of our friends at church & eventually released when he was fully grown. It does contain info about coatis. I learned a lot of other things about other animals as well. The introduction chapter goes from page xiii-xxxiii (pre-13 - pre-33), making the book seem longer at first. Most of the scientific facts are done from an evolutionary (non-creationism) standpoint, so I took that kind of info with a grain of salt. The pictures & descriptions of each animal were very informative & interesting. |
Review # 2 was written on 2018-06-20 00:00:00 Anthony Parker A comprehensive, accessible look at Costa Rica's mammals. The creatures themselves are much more beautiful than his illustrations. |
