This book will change the way you think...about God, Jesus, authority, hierarchy, spirits, miracles, and how to glorify God. The Bible says to stir up or exercise the Spirit...this book tells you step by step how to do just that. Some anecdotes don't count as proof, some leaps in logic do occur, and there's still the fact that Jesus says in Matt 7:21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22"Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' 23"And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.' (Lawlessness=living without the law, as in "the law is done away") I would definitely recommend this book to all practicing Christians for just the "credit card" concept alone. Superb analogy.

A fantastic book that describes the authority the believer has as a result of their relationship with God. Charles details how this authority can be used within the home, employment, churches, within ministry settings and in the community. I think this book provides foundational understanding for the believer's effective life and ministry in the world. Some of the more interesting aspects of the book are that God has ordained authority structures on earth; and that it is perfectly reasonable that such structures, relationships and rules exist in the spiritual realm. Another aspect is that all believers are engaged in a spiritual battle but if one is ignorant of this then they are effectively in a field hospital rather than battling on the front. As such, they are diverting resources away from the battle. It is our responsibility to be informed, engaged and fighting rather than ignorant, wounded and ineffective. An excellent primer on spiritual warfare and our position in it.
