Review # 2 was written on 2009-08-22 00:00:00 Stacey Hunt I loved Reynolds' book skewering depressing pop songs ("I Hate Myself and I Want to Die"), and this collection is just as funny. He doesn't actually hate everything he covers--he likes the band Angels F*ck, and the German metal group Rammstein, among others--but he pokes holes in the hubris and pretension of so many deserving targets, with a pen (or rather, a cursor) dipped in acid. His "dear diary" chapter on "Fergalicious" is just one highlight. It's a great, funny book that says things we all feel, but says them in a far funnier way than we would.
