Review # 1 was written on 2013-11-06 00:00:00 Bill Allen A fine collection of articles written by Zhuangzi scholars: Harold Roth, Brook Ziporyn, Scott Cook, Ru-bin Yang, Chad Hansen, Alan Fox, Michael Puett, Shuen-fu Lin... Like esp Ziporyn's (well known for his studies in Guo Xiang neo-Daoism) Yang's (who can call himself a Daoist master without getting a grasp of the mechanism of Qi) and Puett's (renown harvard prof in early chinese rituals and cosmology). Half of the articles in this book are must-reads for students of early philosophical Daoism.

Review # 2 was written on 2013-12-27 00:00:00 Li Chin Wong Chew This book compiles different sinologist articles discussing Xunzi philosophy. Some articles gave very interesting insights about the historical intellectual conflict between Xunzi and Mencius about human nature.
