This is a gorgeous book. Fellman has obviously been thinking about the 60s for the past 40 years and, like all the rest of us, has tried to get to the very bottom of it. And he, more than most of us, has succeeded. He's figured out that conflict itself is a problem, and he recognizes two basic models, the adversary and the mutuality paradigms. His goal is to find a way to eliminate all conflict based on domination, and not just this or that war or unfairness. A personal and gorgeously written essay.

A book that influenced my outlook on politics and what I think is necessary to achieve peace. It has been a few years since I read this, but I remember the book to be well-reasoned and a bit heart-breaking.
