A must read for anyone interested in the much-talked about Huang Lao school which caught the attention of scholars of Classical Chinese thought. How does the Mawangdui manuscripts fit into the canonised ancient Chinese texts? How does it marry Daoism to Legalism? What about the backdrop of Confucianism? This book provides a beautiful display of the tapestry of thoughts in pre-Qin and link up everything right to the early Han.
