Review # 1 was written on 2016-07-01 00:00:00 Brian Lee What does the arch-objective-materialist have to do with the arch-subjective-idealist? The theory of the human subject as an active being. Strip away the superficial sophistry of materialism vs idealism, and simply look at what each says about their theory of activity and human subjectivity. What we see is a Marx which at *core* inches a couple of feet towards Fichte rather than Hegel despite the later Hegelian trappings of Capital. Both put primacy on the concrete and existent individual, both put primacy on activity over passivity, both see an infinite striving towards absolutes without any final resolution. |
Review # 2 was written on 2016-12-06 00:00:00 Jessica Jensen An enjoyable and compelling read. Libertarian and autonomous. |
