Review # 1 was written on 2015-02-10 00:00:00 Germain Robichaud This was a beloved favorite of mine as a kid, and certainly one of the first books to get me passionately interested in natural history. Reading it now, it's a bit dated (especially in its descriptions of available technology), and so British that not all the exercises are applicable with American wildlife. But it's still charming and holds a special place in my natural-history-loving heart.

Review # 2 was written on 2017-02-07 00:00:00 Mauro Andres Thorough overview of nature study for beginners with many ideas for easy hands-on activities, but some parts are dated, such as the use of tape recorders to record sounds in nature, and some of the suggested projects are very difficult to execute, such as building a "garden observation cage."
