One of the books major strengths is using photographs to illustrate everything from packing lists to step by step instructions. An exemplary section is �how to pack your gear� �- one is left feeling that they could do a side by side comparison of their stuff in front of them and the instructions within the book & be assured they�ve got it �right.� The �cooking� and �making� section may be interesting to readers who don�t want to camp. Homemade wind gauges, water collection points, and even a camp stool made from sticks a plastic bag give readers ideas for things to do outdoors.
