Review # 1 was written on 2013-01-27 00:00:00 Daniel tepper 'Monet The Gardener' was a beautiful book which explored the artist's passion & might I say obsession, for flowers. He stated, "Gardening was something I learned in my youth when I was unhappy. Perhaps I owe [my] having become a painter to flowers." The book was filled with many photographs of Monet's garden in Giverny as well as many of his beautiful paintings. My only regret with the book is that I had not read it before I visited Monet's garden myself, so I could've enjoyed the experience that much more! |
Review # 2 was written on 2014-09-12 00:00:00 Cheri Runyon Monet is my favorite painter. I cried out loud when I saw this at first. I know I sound like a big drama queen WELL maybe cause I am, but whatever, I got this, didn't I? The book is filled with great pictures and some information, although I hated how repetitive it is, but it's worth checking out. |
