Review # 1 was written on 2015-07-29 00:00:00 Daniel Gleason I am reading this book for by M.Ed. Administrative Leadership class. It is very readable with real like situations, although it is a little dated, pre-NCLB, and still discussing the New Standards Performance Standards. However, it is quite an eye-opener when it comes to the level of education we expect from our students and the level expected in Europe and Asia. We are not even preparing our students for entry level jobs in competitive technologies. I think we are on our way, considering how we are turning our curricula inside out and assessing not only what we teach, but how we teach it. I am hoping we are able to turn all of our students into productive citizens, if not for their sake, for our own, as well, since they are the future. |
