This question seems unnecessary given the fact that Muhammed was born in 570 AD - several centuries after the canon of Scripture was closed. However, Muslim Apologists claim that Muhammed is, in fact, in the Bible. For example, they claim that he is the "prophet like unto Moses" in Deuteronomy 18:15-18. They also see him in the New Testament as the "comforter" promised by God after Jesus. In his book, Is Muhammed in the Bible?: Muslim Claims Examined in the Light of Scripture, History, and Current Events, Larry Spargimino gives excellent counterarguments to the claims of the Muslim Apologists. He introduces his readers to Islam, presents perspective of the Muslim mindset, and shows how our western way of life is counter to theirs. Also included is a section on sharing the Gospel, and the unique challenges involved in reaching followers of Islam. Those who have the opportunity to share the Christian faith with Muslims will do well to read and consider these. The book is brilliant, eye-opening, and well-researched. Dr. Spargimino allows the truth of each belief system to speak for itself.
