Review # 1 was written on 2017-10-10 00:00:00 Nick Niles This book is so useful if you or someone you know is seeking to pay for college without spending any of your own money. In fact, the links in this book alone are more than worth the price of the book though I read the library's copy. I have an 18 year old so I wanted to see what scholarships I might have overlooked. I also help other homeschool families who are sending kids to college and wanted more information to pass on. I marveled at some of the scholarships I had never heard of such as the one from the makers of Duct tape for the best prom dress made from duct tape! There is a lot of information on narrowing down career interests (many scholarships are available to students going into specific fields), ways to make yourself more scholarship ready by the activities you do involving your interests or helping others, choosing a college and evaluating what kind of scholarships it offers, writing scholarship essays, finding scholarships to apply for, and organizing your scholarship search. I like how this book is written by a couple who actually put 5 kids through college at no cost to themselves. The writing is friendly as if you are sitting together discussing options over coffee. Many practical examples are given and a lot of warm and friendly encouragement. Stop stressing- friends are now helping you find and get scholarships.
