Review # 2 was written on 2012-07-15 00:00:00 Richard Lyday This book takes a tired and critical view of the author, mentioning how Dostoevsky has increasingly deranged characters. I'm reminded of a dialogue in lowbrow film 'The Transporter 3' where Statham's character notes how Russians are so often prone to being dark and depressing. The depiction of this author seemingly plays to this stereotype. |
