There is enough information in this book to populate campaigns for years, and its also vague enough that no two campaigns need ever be the same. Though, of course, this book is linked to the living grey hawk campaign setting, in which instance it serves as a good general source book to help a player get a feel for the campaign world. While there is a lot of great information and stories in this book, a few minor tweaks would have greatly improved it, such as maps showing where on Oerth nations and land marks actually were. While the whole work gets a bit massive and overbearing in the same fashion as Tolkien's shilmaeron its still an interesting work and I enjoyed traveling the vast world from Furyondy to bone march and look forward with the fondness to the adventures of this place.

The most up-to-date descriptions of the politics, people, and places of Greyhawk, this is in indispensable tool for any D&D players planning on spending any time in the fantastic Greyhawk world. Adding gods, goddesses, languages, adventure hooks, political intrigue and a whole lot more to your campaign, the Gazetteer is crafted by the very names of the Greyhawk world: Gary Holiam, Erik Mona, Sean K. Reynolds, and Frederick Weining. Each kingdom gets an overview of its movers and shakers, intrigues, and plot hooks for adventure, as do the geographic regions. You won't regret buying this book at all - I loved it for the adventure hooks alone.
