Review # 1 was written on 2021-02-23 00:00:00 Collin Harvey A little bit better than the core book, containing a fair bit more detail about the setting and giving it all the more unique Wild West Frontier flavour that I can appreciate.

Review # 2 was written on 2016-08-11 00:00:00 Torrentine Torrents Despite all the bad reviews, I enjoyed this book for the most part and gave it 4 stars. I found this book so refreshing from the last half of Anita Blake books and the Meredith Gentry books, where everything was about the sex and barely touched on plot. In this book, I fell in love with the twins and could really relate to Elaine, questioning every move she made and not ever feeling accepted. Feeling different. It made this book very east to read for me and I got lost in it very easily. SOILERISH**** The only reason this book didn't receive 5 stars from me was the last chapter. The world we live in is so crappy on a daily basis, that when I read a book I want to escape to a happy ended. I can handle a few characters dying whom I don't want to, but this 'family' went through so much crap for what?!?! Just because it's a crappy world and life sucks and there is evil every where? I already knew that! Despite that I would probably read this again... I would just stop before the last chapter and come up with my own ending.
