Review # 1 was written on 2019-04-28 00:00:00 Ultimate Uyever I was intrigued by the subject since I grew up in Roswell, New Mexico. I visited the museum often to view Goddard's display plus Peter Hurd's paintings. Peter Hurd lived and painted in the Hondo Valley just a short drive west of Roswell. The book was enlightening and helped me appreciate the work he did around Roswell. The book was well written and added the human dimension to a subject I had only seen on the surface. Definitely recommend the book for those that want a peak behind the curtain. |
Review # 2 was written on 2019-10-16 00:00:00 Will Wingerter A detailed review of the life of Robert H. Goddard, the "Father of Rocketry". Sometimes the best recounting of a man's life is not always exciting and page-turning. Technically a good history, but not necessarily invigorating. Such is the life of a dedicated scientist. |
