Well organized and user-friendly for the motivated and independent learner. I absolutely 'love' this book! I have it in paperback. Today, I purchased a digital copy. A word of warning. This book may not be useful to you if: You have NO foundation in music theory. For example, you don't understand music notation, are unable to read/interpret tab, are unable to carefully observe and mimic the pictures provided. I'm a beginning music student. However, as I continue to practice the instructions provided within this book, I find myself improving my technique, hand placement, knowledge and memorization of chords, etc. Now that I have a digital copy, I can use any down-time I have to visualize/memorize chords and hand placement before physically applying it during bass practice. Adults are mostly visual learners. This book provides tablature with instructions for finger placement, displays how the chord is written in music notation, AND a picture of how to position your hands to play EACH chord. Additionally, this book is organized enough to facilitate independent and highly motivated learners. Again, great book!
