A great (but small) collection of folk songs for dulcimer all in ionian mode to be played with your dulcimer tuned to DAA. Macneil has them arraigned for different playing styles (strummed, fingerpicked, etc.) but since I only play noter/drone style I ignored those things. I think more players should play ionian tuned to DAA and use the other modal tunings when the song is set in a certain mode, but I know I'm in the minority with that thinking. Still if you haven't tuned your dulcimer to anything except DAD, then you can start exploring other tunings with this book, followed by the excellent Dulcimer a la Mode.

This is my second time reading this, and it’s fascinating. For the majority of Edward’s claims, I thought “That makes perfect sense!” Only on a couple did I think it was a stretch (like knowing what Jesus was writing in the dirt during the woman caught in adultery narrative. For Christians, this will cause you to see G-d as bigger and more sovereign than you ever imagined. For the Jew, I challenge you to search the Torah for the Messiah and compare to Yeshua.
