Adored the essays of Willis, Woledge, and Lackner, Lucas, and Reid, and their discussions of, respectively, queer effacement, intimacy in fan fiction, and the blurring of the straight/gay binary in the relationship between writers and readers. Driscoll on the other hand has provided me with a lot to debate against in my thesis. So valuable on two fronts.

Though the essays become repetitive after the first few chapters, this book was interesting as it opens the mind to introductory concepts of fan fiction in a clear, cohesive way.
