Review # 1 was written on 2016-11-06 00:00:00 Stephen Michaels This is a fairly standard McFarland baseball history, which means it's not as anecdote-heavy as some other treatments might be. After all, the original Senators had some good and interesting players, though they eventually became lost in ineptitude. What I found fascinating was that Deveaux bought entirely into the idea of the owner, Clark Griffith, as a great baseball mind, even when recounting repeated disastrous trades he made.
