Review # 1 was written on 2012-03-13 00:00:00 Frank R Shepard Jr Came for Brian Donlevy. Continued to John Garfield. Staying for Herbert Marshall. If this keeps up, I'll end up reading all 90 or so profiles. 3 stars because there were some minor and moderate factual errors in the Garfield chapter. But I've read much on Garfield and learned something new, so the chapter is worthwhile.

Review # 2 was written on 2009-12-16 00:00:00 Brian Dunbar For fans of films noir This is a great book. It has bios of all the main actors in films noir. Then a whole section on the minor actors followed by a section on memorable quotes from the movies. My one criticism is that it needs a good editing. There are many typos.
