Review # 1 was written on 2012-03-13 00:00:00 Charles Green An interesting commentary on how M*A*S*H reflected the values of the 1970s-80s even though it was a show set in the 1950s. Another review called the writing a bit formulaic, I would agree (definitely written as an academic piece rather than with a general audience in mind). But still a worthwhile read for fans of the show (now I will keep some of the things I learned from this book in mind as my husband as I are currently in season 2 as we work our way through watching all 11 seasons). Sidenote: Printer error omits page 156 and puts a duplicate 161 in it's place (at least it did in the copy I read). |
Review # 2 was written on 2012-03-13 00:00:00 Lol Lol A little bit formulaic (this season reflected these cultural events, this other season commented on these other cultural events, etc) but overall a solid read for anyone with an interest in television studies, M*A*S*H or After-M*A*S*H stans. |
