Review # 1 was written on 2009-06-25 00:00:00 Matthew Porter This light mystery received four or five stars from other GoodReads members----they are obviously much more generous readers than I. I hoped the book would be light, kitchy fun.(for a humid, 90-plus degree afternoon's reading). Kitchy it was but my powers of imagination couldn't quite place Elvis into the citizen lawman that Daniel Klein created. There's a wide divide for me between a creative, humorous mystery and this kind of marketing-driven mystery. Not fun: disappointing.
