Review # 1 was written on 2018-06-19 00:00:00 Gary Brines Every few years I binge read my mother's Emilie Loring books. My mother gave me copies but there are several that I've had to buy replacements because her copies have been read so much (even though I try and handle them carefully) that they've started falling apart. As soon as they get so worn I start looking for replacements. I love these books for two reasons - one because it's always made me feel more connected to my mom picturing her reading the books, imagining what was going on in her life as she read them. The second reason is because they are so full of hope and promise of better times. In many of these books it's just after the War and people were optimistic about the future and sometimes we need those things in our lives.

Review # 2 was written on 2017-03-03 00:00:00 Shahid Iqbal Mmm. This one warms my heart because of the honor and respect for the sanctity of marriage each character has. I also love how although, Randi decides to go ahead and marry an ailing man 30 years her senior, she pours her heart into making him happy and to grant him the best quality of life she can. Completely Forsaking the man she loves, because she is married and must honor her vows no matter what. And her beloved (a single young man) respects her enough to move away so there is no temptation and she can have a happy marriage--love love love! Ps. Don't worry--there is much more to the story. LOL The only thing I don't like is that all the characters experienced love at first sight. Deep fulfilling unconditional love. LOL. But it's still a lovely story.
