I want to meet Jake Hunter. He seems to demand respect, admiration, and exudes sexuality in the room when he is in it. Erin Cortland is a strong minded, self reliant and pride filled individual with one big problem. Her body needs protection and the one tasked with guarding her body also wants it for himself. Possession is something that Jake never associated with him and women. But seeing the fear that resisted in Erin's eyes caused something to stir in him and have him thinking differently. I found the book to be enjoyable, but I do not think that the made for tv movie by BET will be as enjoyable to watch. There were many changes from book to film. I read the synopsis and did not like what the changes are and I have decided to pass on the movie.

This is my favorite Francis Ray novel. She tells a complete story from beginning to end about Erin and Jake. Their love blooms naturally throughout the course of the book. It is not rushed, stiff, or unrealistic. Their connection seems genuine and you are truly sad when the novel ends. I would recommend reading this book to anyone who likes romance novels.
