Review # 2 was written on 2021-01-23 00:00:00 Ben Hampshire My girls really loved this book, but I thought it was a bit gossipy and mean-spirited. The Saddle Club Girls are in an open rivalry with another girl at their riding club, but they stoop to lows that go beyond justification to "get back" at their peer. The overall moral lesson is pretty solid--if there is something you are uncomfortable with, you have to stand firm and speak out--, but the bullying and rudeness back and forth not being addressed and being played for laughs is not my cup of tea.
