Review # 1 was written on 2020-05-10 00:00:00 Urly Grace My wife got me this book in 2008 and it was not until May 2020 that I finally read it. I sort of ignored Reagan while he was president, was mainly supportive but not a huge fan. Reading it in today's political environment made a huge impact. Much of what he said as far back as the 1960s applies today, whether or not you agree with the underlying political philosophy. The man nailed so many issues in fairly simple short quips and what I can see now are well-thought out speeches. Today's politicians ( D or R) could learn how to communicate with the American more effectively by modeling President Reagan. I have a new respect for the guy.
