Review # 2 was written on 2017-12-17 00:00:00 Noel Ch I wasn't expecting this book to have a lot of impact. I was wrong. It blew me away. It tells the story of the Sullivan family and the people and events surrounding them from two very different perspectives. First, we see how events play out when the family does not know Jesus and God has no place in their lives. Second, we see the same events played out when the family does invite Jesus into their hearts and builds a relationship with God and other believers. Hudson has such a gift for making his characters real and the situations believable. I lost count of how many times I thought, "I've felt exactly that way." It is very easy to recognize yourself in some of the situations and characters. At times it was difficult to read because of the heavy nature of the subject, but most of the time it was eye-opening, enlightening, and encouraging. I highly recommend "On the Edge" to anyone who wants to better understand what goes on in the battle for our souls between good and evil. This book is a wake up call to everyone, believer or not, and could be used in ministering to others. I've told everyone in my bible study group about it and hope to share it with others in the future.
