Review # 1 was written on 2019-09-21 00:00:00 Karin Armstrong A truly fantastic collection of Kirby's Marvel material printed beautifully in color on high quality paper. If you are a Kirby fan, this is worth buying. It includes some of his earliest stuff done under a fake name as well as the first Captain America material. And of course it has some truly fantastic stories from the Fantastic Four and Sgt Fury and his Howling Commandos. I must say, never being much of a Marvel fan or a Stan Lee fan, I had not real almost any of this classic "Marvel Age of Comics" material that FF and the like was made up of. But I was truly loving some of the FF stuff. It was great, unique and fantastic sci fi. The first Galactus story series was great. And it is in this volume. Buy it; read it. Kirby never disappoints.

Review # 2 was written on 2013-08-28 00:00:00 Clinton Bogle It's nice to read an older comic - they speak in a way that is reminiscent of decades past. Not that I would know exactly, but people just don't talk like this anymore. At first I was a bit put out by the classic illustration style, but eventually I gained a new appreciation for it.
