This was an excellent book that helped me have an overview of Flannery's life, influences and themes, across her work and also know where to look for information that would help me understand. It's very recommendable. It took me so long to finish it, because I was reading the works along with this. Of the letters in The Habit of Being there's a summary of the numerous people she wrote to, and mentions on the topics. There's not much on Mystery and Manners, still this is very complete and helpful, even if we must not forget to do an interpretation of our own. Fantastic work.

Basically a collection of magazine/newspaper articles and interviews where they have spoken with Maya Angelou and got her thoughts, mainly on her life and her work. She is an engaging subject evening written form.
