Review # 1 was written on 2015-11-29 00:00:00 Tommy Pitts Considering this is a textbook, I don't have a whole lot to say about it. It was quite readable, though, and the disorders in the DSM-IV-TR are explained clearly. There are handy "quick reference" areas with case studies, the DSM criteria for disorders, treatment plans, etc., that I found to be very useful. A little bit of the neuropsychology behind some of the disorders is not explained terribly well, however. All in all, though, a good reference to have. |
Review # 2 was written on 2009-12-23 00:00:00 Tony Barrett Very useful, not just for diagnosing but I often refer to this when checking the criteria of educational-services, qualifications, and comprehensive assessments (psycho-education & behavioral). I also use this as a guide/reference when writing my observations & report summaries. Although this addition was updated to include diversity, it could use a better representation this inclusion. |
