In my opinion, this could have been condensed a lot more for what it gives: after the postural assessment & equipment information (which you could get more from other books like kendall's or that other one that I have yet to read - Daniel's & Worthingham's), it's such a "fact list" that you basically just need to know your muscles (insertion & origin), trigger points and referring pain, etc - plus, I find the massage side of things was lacking in comparison to other resources. In the end, I think going to more specific resources would be best over this book. Edit: Then again, it is titled "basic massage therapy" , so raised it to a 3-star (not enough principles, so memorizing is basically being promoted).

I'm reading this book for my Advanced Palpatory Anatomy class. I love the way (groups of) muscles are "exposed" on the models in the illustrations, to make it easier to see where the various treatment options should be applied.
