Review # 1 was written on 2020-06-15 00:00:00 Glynis Sakowicz I read this back in 2004. Here is what I wrote at the time: >>Turns out there is quite a bit funny about education. Fournier uses satirical sketches to illustrate what is wrong with the predominant rote learning and standardized testing trends. In the process, he parodies and pokes fun at other trends such as professional development and distance education. Overall, the book is a "hoot;" it is funny, entertaining, and a good light read. I enjoyed his sketch of how teens really talk, but overall, the book is fun. Very highly recommended for any teacher needing serious comic relief.<< |
