Review # 1 was written on 2018-09-07 00:00:00 Robbin Thiner I read this book when I first became interested in classic movies. It was great introductory reading because it provides a general overview about the stars and shows off their beauty in large lush photographs. I never considered Doris Day to be a style icon until I read this book and it took me a while to realize that she gave validity and glamour to the girl next door. Before seeing her films, my reading planted a seed to keep my eye on her and I'm so glad I did.
