Review # 1 was written on 2013-07-18 00:00:00 Rodney Burch Interesting but too-general treatment of the inventions driving the Industrial Revolution through WWI. It gives two major impressions--that inventors tend to be horrible businessmen, and that there was a more exciting time than now when people were devoting their lives and energies to making machines that seemed impossible to make.

Review # 2 was written on 2016-08-20 00:00:00 Brian Clark I'm currently reading this for a college class. I really didn't think this topic has any relevance at all anymore, but I was wrong. I'm surprised by how closely it parallels technology today.
