Review # 1 was written on 2009-07-08 00:00:00 Christopher Picon Girls loved this title which comprehensively covered (in beginning reader format) owning a horse. Not sugar coated but instead honest about cost of and work involved with owning this animal.

Review # 2 was written on 2020-11-24 00:00:00 Chantal Belanger Chicken by David M Schwartz is a fun science-filled book about a commonly recognized farm animal. Schwartz tells the true story about the life cycle of a chicken. From the hen to the egg and back to a hen. The language is simple enough for early readers to be immersed in science, but any terms that may be outside the readers abilities can be found in the glossary at the back of the book. The real life pictures take this picture book from fiction to the readers world, even down to the egg embryo. It is fun, educational and full of color!
