Review # 1 was written on 2014-09-04 00:00:00 Aron Marsh As the title indicates, this book is full of closeup pictures of boa constrictors, including some showing prey being squeezed to death. Boa constrictors do not hatch from eggs--they are born ready to hunt. A female snake gives birth to 20-30 snakes at a time! In 3 years, they are grown and have a lifespan of about 20 years. Review # 2 was written on 2019-02-23 00:00:00 Frank Marcopolos This is of a type of picture book I'm particularly fond of : multilayer. There is rhyming story for reading aloud and younger audiences, then there is factual information about Howler monkeys that can be studied by older children. An endpage map and further info makes it useful for science report. I like the illustrations as well, the softness makes it feel wet and tropical.
