First president to be impeached due to his stubbornness and refusal to listen to advice or opinions of others. He approved the plan to purchase Alaska from Russia for $7.2 million.

Review # 2 was written on 2014-03-06 00:00:00 Jd Nzuzi This was not one of the better books from the usually very informative "Our Presidents" small chapter book series for young readers. I was left with more questions about Johnson's character than answers. Is he the worst President ever (like many Presidential lists claim)? Or was he passionate and true, forced to deal with a bunch of spoiled Representatives? Or was it a mixture of the two?? Did the majority of the southern states love or hate him?? This book sent more mixed messages than not.
