I was given this book years ago as a gift from my brother, but never really got around to reading it until now. It's a fun, interactive book which, as well as being a very lighthearted read, does in fact teach the reader some useful facts and skills. For example, knot tying and the value of sewing, and a lot of perhaps useless knowledge about different kinds of ships. Whether you're here to learn about piracy, or just for a bit of fun, i'm sure you'll enjoy this book.

The KitKatPandaBatWolf dearly loves these -ology books. She desires every single one regardless of topic. Paleontology? She'd read that. Parasitology? Yum. The books are tremendously fun multi-sensory experiences, but this one includes a clever little story, as well. Highly recommended for pirate fans.
