Review # 1 was written on 2019-04-23 00:00:00 Michelle Horve When his exhausted mother nods off whilst reading him a bedtime story, a super intelligent baby invents a robot to take over Mom's chores. Simon's illustrations are always a treat, but why didn't Dad step up to help out . . . before the whole robot fiasco? I'm usually not bothered by books featuring parents in traditional roles - mom = caregiver/dad = breadwinner, but this one annoyed me for some reason. Perhaps it would have made a difference had the genius baby been a girl . . . |
Review # 2 was written on 2013-09-02 00:00:00 Ricardo Valentin Trejo Guzman A cute story about a kid trying to help out a mom who does too much. My 5 yr old loves to have this one read to him and to read it himself. One he can relate to and enjoy, it's a great addition to our children's library. |
