Review # 1 was written on 2010-08-31 00:00:00 William Smith I'm totally biased because my uncle is the one who wrote this book. But he sent it to me after I told him I was going on a camping trip to the Channel Islands, we'll be there for 4 days, and the ferry won't be able to pick us up before then, and have to walk 1.5 miles with a 3 year old so we MUST PACK LIGHT. There's awesome practical advice, totally sweet "recipes" (in quotes because he insists that there is no one perfect way of doing something in the woods), and no-nonsense endorsements which he receives no funds from. Excellent book for camping when packing light. And we're testing the recipes while we're here at home in Hollywood.
