Review # 1 was written on 2014-02-15 00:00:00 Debra Churchill There are some good suggestions, but overall I felt like the subject area was too broad to do justice to the topic. The information provided on trails was really in depth and helpful, but having lived in some of the areas where the authors selected hikes, I didn't feel they were the best ones in the areas. Granted, it is probably largely based on personal preference, but there were limited hikes in any given area and they were not necessarily the ones I would pick to do.

Review # 2 was written on 2014-12-18 00:00:00 Lori Zennario I purchased this to complement my geocaching adventures. As I traveled about the state seeking boxes in woods, I thought it was good to learn about the known hiking trails available. Of course, back then, I was also looking for new and interesting places to place geocaches too. It's a fine book, but for those of us in the south of the state, there is not nearly as much covered compared to the northern end. Each hike is highlighted with a topo map and a couple page description of the area. It's a nice introductory text for hiking around the Garden State.
