This was given to me as a Christmas from my brother. My brother loves giving me books; sometimes he hits the mark, and other times not so much. He knew I was a die-hard fan of Desperate Housewives, and I love kitty cats, so what could go wrong? Well, unfortunately, quite a bit. This is obviously supposed to be a take on the highly successful television show, but with cats instead. What I didn't understand was why the author didn't make the cat names, street names, and plot lines more cleverly tied to the nighttime soap. It's basically 95 pages of a bunch of very unhappy looking cats in wigs, glasses, and dresses, with names of Marilyn, Queen Sheba, Fluffy, and Kitty. Nothing is every remotely clever in comparison to the show, not even the street name: DeClaw Lane sounds nothing like Wisteria Lane. How about Wiskeria Lane, anyone?

Finished in 5 minutes. Got this as a gift, only watched a few episodes of Desperate Housewives so not sure I get the humour in this book. The one star in the book is for the 1st picture of Jagermouser. A few of the other cat pictures in the book are mildly amusing as well. I'm a dog person. I'm baffled why anyone would buy this 'book', except as a gag gift.
