Review # 1 was written on 2019-01-18 00:00:00 Trevor Gray Decent technique section with small practice exercises to build skills. He gets into a lot of additives, which I'm not really interested in, and then uses them throughout the remainder of the projects. Worth the read, but not worth buying. |
Review # 2 was written on 2015-06-16 00:00:00 Dan Durocher This is a good book, tho not a great one for a beginner. Mr. Smith's illustrations are not to my taste, but his exercises are complete and thorough. He has four pages on light, four pages on skies, four on flowers, foliage and fields, pages on glass containers, several pages on people and animals, and some on general practices etc. Perhaps when I'm a better painter, I'll return to this book. |
