Eaton not only offers options for indoor play but also encourages the possibility of fun IN the rain. The use of phonics in this short book can help introduce several different vowel types, consonants,diphthongs, and digraphs to first time readers. Following a lesson on short vowels, students can be challenged to review the book to find as many short vowel sounds as they can.

Review # 2 was written on 2008-07-17 00:00:00 Daniel Wilcox Kind of a cute book. Cute pics. It inspired more discussion about the pictures and looks on the faces than anything else, so I would recommend this book more for that than for reading or for content message.
